Recipe

Crab and Grits

Ingredients :

1/2 cup  onion / diced  small

1/2 cup  chop bell pepper 

      diced small

2 teaspoon mince garlic

3 cups crab meat picked.

1 Stick of butter

   Seasoning of choice

 

Use melted butter to saute onion, bell pepper and garlic over medium high heat for about one minute add crab and saute for 2 to 3 minutes letting crab meat slightly brown. Add water and let reduce  slightly( just enough water to pick up brown bits) sauce  should not be soupy. Stir together well and season to taste throughout the cooking process. Serve over Southern Queens Foods Stone Ground Grits.

Basic Grits Recipe

Ingridients

1 cup -  Southern Queen Grits

4 Cups - Water

1/2 teaspoon - Salt

2 tablespoons -butter


Directions:
1. Slowly stir grits and salt into briskly boiling water.
2. Reduce heat to low. Cover pot.
3. Stir every 5 -7 minutes, for approx 30 add water as needed. Continue process until you achieve desired texture.

4 . Add butter and stir in vigorously, salt and pepper to taste

 

Note: Cooking time may vary depending on desired consistency. Soaking grits  overnight will reduce cooking time.
